My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mina's personality couldn't be any better if we made her in a lab! She is a larger girl at about 100 lbs. currently, but she's working on her weight with daily exercise and portion control so she should be more fit soon (got to get ready for bikini weather!). We think she is between 7-9 years old, so she is well past the puppy stage and very calm! She gets along great with dogs of all sizes (she previously lived with a sassy shih-tzu, and a lazy beagle). She has lived with cats before as well, but sometimes liked to chase them, so we would take it on a case by case situation for her new home if they have cats. And while she hasn't met a ton of kids, we imagine she'd do great. She's the most tolerant dog you will ever meet!

You may have noticed her striking ice blue eyes... well Mina is special because she is mostly blind. The vet believes she has been blind most if not all of her life and it isn't causing her any discomfort at all (no special medication needed). Despite this handicap, Mina never lets it slow her down. She uses her foster mom for guidance with stairs and side walks, but other wise she gets around pretty well! She knows special commands for going up and down stairs, so she knows they are coming and which way she needs to go. She is the perfect gem at her foster home and would make a great addition to ANY home! She is fully house and crate trained, and does well in the crate at night and when no one is home. She's trained on basic commands such as "sit" and "down" and is now learning clicker training techniques. Call to meet Mina!
