Jordan--RESCUED!'s Story...
Jordan appears to be a 2-4 yr old, neutered male Red Heeler mix. He is a super friendly, outgoing, fun and affectionate guy! He currently weighs about 55-65 lbs (is overweight) but enjoys a good game of fetch so should be able to shed those extra pounds with controlled feeding pretty quickly. He will soak up all the attention you can lavish on him! Jordan is in need of rescue or adoption from the Pocahontas County Animal Shelter in Marlinton, WV where he's been impounded since January.

For adoption or rescue info email Advocates for Shelter Animals of Pocahontas Co. at asapwva@gmail.com.

Act quickly to adopt Jordan--RESCUED!. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jordan--RESCUED!, a Marlinton Australian Cattle Dog/Mixed Breed (Large) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Mixed Breed (Large) for sale in Marlinton, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Mixed Breed (Large) dog from a breeder in Marlinton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marlinton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marlinton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Mixed Breed (Large) breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Mixed Breed (Large) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marlinton paves the way for another one to be saved.
