Sonny's Story...
Sonny is a 3-4 month old male American short haired guinea pig. He was surrendered by his owner due to personal issues and was no longer able to care for him. Sonny is very sweet, he does not mind being held. He is fast to catch but he will slow down as he ages. He does get along with other male guinea pigs (he is bunking with Beaker) He does love to eat. He is not picky at all. He is currently on oxbow baby guinea pig pellets. He is a super great little guy who is looking for a second chance at a forever home. His coloring is unique and super cool.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sonny, a Harleysville Guinea Pig was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Guinea Pig for sale in Harleysville, or seeking a Guinea Pig from a breeder in Harleysville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harleysville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harleysville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Guinea Pig breeders who help with Guinea Pig rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harleysville paves the way for another one to be saved.
