My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lily is a shy, calm, sweet girl whose life goal is to be cuddled. She is great with all animals and kids. She came into her foster home very nervous and scared, but is showing improvement each day. So far we've noticed anxiety toward any new adult she meets (especially men), and will cower or run away, but all that is needed is to let her come to you and get one ear scratch and she warms up fairly quickly. Even with her insecurities she shows absolutely no signs of aggression.
She is not a fan of her crate, but will go in if asked. She is being taught that the crate is just her bedroom and it's okay to be in it. However, a crate is not necessary with her as she does not show any behavioural problems when unattended.
She does like to jump and it can be corrected easily. Lily is just starting to learn that toys are fun.
She would do incredibly well in an active home with someone who enjoys the outdoors and running. We believe she would be a fantastic running partner. She has a lot of energy to give, but can also be super lazy. If she isn't encouraged to have fun she would sleep almost all day.
Lily also really loves to be on furniture, cuddling on your lap. This is being corrected, but it would be great to find her a home that is okay with dogs on furniture because it actually makes her very happy to be right beside you showing her love. She has a big bed that she and her foster parent cuddle on. She buries her face in her foster parents arms and falls asleep.
