My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

SAM HAS BEEN ADOPTED!Buck and Sam are two handsome and impressive Great Pyr brothers looking for a loving family. These sweet gentle giants were rescued from an open-intake shelter in Kentucky. They were purchased as puppies and have lived on a farm not far the expressway. The property was large and not fenced and they boys weren't great about staying within the property line. They often wandered off on adventures and ended up on the highway several times. Their previous owner did not want them getting hit by a car so they were surrendered. They just turned a year old and weigh in around 130 pounds and they still have some growing to do. True to their breed, Buck and Sam are very mild mannered, mellow, gentle and easy-going dogs and will make great family companions. They spent most of their time outside but have been in the house a bit. They are currently in a foster home, where they are quickly adjusting to being indoor companions. They do well in their crates and do well with their housebreaking if kept on a regular schedule but still need to be watched closely. Buck and Sam are being fostered with other dogs and get along great with them. We have not seen them interact with other animals aside from dogs, so unsure how they'd do with cats or other pets. Sam and Buck are quite bonded and we'd really love to keep them together. Their adoption donation as a pair is $500. They are up to date with vaccines, recently neutered and microchipped. They are currently in a foster home in Chicago and can be seen by appointment once an application has been received and approved. For more info or for an adoption application for these spectacular fellows, please email palsplace1@hotmail.com
