Hiya! My name is Little Debbie. I am a snack size 5.5 month old chihuaha. I am a special little girl, in that I have a genetic defect in the bones in one of my front legs. The doggie Dr. says it is no big worry, but causes me to walk a little funny. I don't let it slow me down one bit though. You should see me wrestle with my foster brother and sister. I am the house champ. I am also full of love and snuggles when playtime is over. Because I am just a tiny girl and shy with introductions and fast moving little people, I am suggested to be in a home with children 8 years and over. I pass the dog and cat test and love both of them.
If you think I might be the perfect addition to your family please follow these steps:
1.) Visit www.nbsar.org to fill out my adoption application. As an approved adopter, my rescue friends can set up a home visit so I can meet you. Our rescue is 100% run by volunteers, to help your application be processed as quickly as possible, please make sure to….
2.) Call your veterinarian and give them permission to release information about your current and past pet’s veterinary history.
3.) Call your references too! Let them know to expect a phone call from an unknown phone number, and a rescue team member will need to talk to them on the phone as a reference.
My adoption fee is $250.00 and includes a DHPP vaccine, bordatella vaccine, de-worming, spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine (age appropriate), heartworm test (age appropriate), heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, leash and collar and one week's worth of food. Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on vaccinations and heartworm preventative , spayed/neutered (unless a documented medical reason is on file with your veterinarian). Dogs must be current on Distemper DHPP combo vaccine and Rabies vaccine, cats must be current on Distemper and Rabies at the time of application. This also applies to any pets in your home within the past five years.
