5/2/17: Oh Mira... at 9 1/2 months old, she's still waiting patiently for the perfect home. Last August, she was a teeny tiny kitten that had been hit by a car in Bayville. She was lucky to survive but is special needs in the fact that she does have some back issues and she doesn't know when to stop eating. Mira does love other kitties, as long as they are gentle, and loves calm dogs too. She does not do well with children. She's the kind of kitty that wants to hang out and chill with you. I really hope that someone will adopt this Miracle baby because she's earned that much
1/29/17: Mira, short for Miracle, was found late at night in the middle of Route 9 in Bayville by a good Samaritan. She was quickly picked up by the rescue and found to have injuries consistent with having been hit by a car. Mira had a traumatic brain injury as well as possible spinal cord damage. With hard work and dedication, she has recovered close to 100%. Mira, very rarely, has missed the litter box, as the signal from her brain to spinal cord has interruption. She may be special needs but is full of fire and spirit. Mira loves to play with other kitties and even the dog too! She is about 7 months old, negative for Fiv/Felv and up to date on age appropriate medical. She gets along great with other cats, and dogs.
