Baron's Story...
Baron is an adorable male Shih Tzu puppy, born 9/25/16. He is a stunning little dog and is a purebred, AKC Shih Tzu. He currently weighs 4 ½ lbs and will probably weigh 8-9 lbs as an adult. The color of his coat is unique and predominantly a reddish brown color with black on the tips of his coat and ears. There is even a small white patch on his chest to give him a striking appearance. Baron is a very playful and active puppy. He thoroughly enjoys playing with other puppies his age. This little ball of fluff also enjoys attention from people and will cuddle in your arms when held. He would be fine as an only dog, as long as there is lots time to dot on him and pamper him. Baron is very attentive to people and will tilt his head and listen to what you are saying to him. He loves treats and is a good eater. Baron will thrive in a calm home where he can feel secure and cared for. He loves to be wherever his people are, even if you are busy with other things. Baron just likes to keep you company. Baron was surrendered by his owner due to a lack of time to care for him. He was examined by our vet, neutered, has current shots, and has a microchip. Baron is going to make a nice companion pet and is ready for his new forever loving family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Baron, a Covina Shih Tzu puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Covina, or seeking a Shih Tzu puppy from a breeder in Covina.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Covina already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Covina breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Covina paves the way for another one to be saved.
