Aubrac's Story...
Aubrac is a cute puppy who would love a home of his own. He is living in a foster home in the beginning stage of learning puppy manners and potty training. He loves to romp and play with other dogs and loves toys too. Please consider giving Aubrac loving home.

Puppies need proper training and socialization to grow into fabulous adult dogs. It takes dedication and effort and is a lifelong commitment. Helping Strays recommends socialization and obedience training to encourage good behavior and strengthen the human-animal bond.

Aubrac's adoption fee is $200; he is microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and will be neutered prior to adoption. Some of our pets are in foster care. If you are interested in a specific pet, please contact the shelter at (618) 939-7389 to arrange a meeting.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Aubrac, a Columbia Labrador Retriever/Coonhound puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Coonhound for sale in Columbia, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Coonhound puppy from a breeder in Columbia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Coonhound breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbia paves the way for another one to be saved.
