Cliff's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Cliff's Story...
Remember Clifford, the big red dog? Well that's Cliff! He is HUGE! He looks like a golden/afghan mix who is all legs! But seriously, he is an amazing 3 year old boy who is happy as can be. He settled into his foster home almost immediately
and loves to play with his foster brothers.
Cliff is house trained and has free roam when we are not home, and has also gone freely into the kennel without being told. He has not been destructive at all but fair warning his head stands taller than the countertops in the kitchen so counter surfing prevention may be a challenge. He has not shown any food aggression and knows how to sit and is easily redirected when he gets a little to rambunctious. He has been to the coffee shop with is foster dad and loves human attention as well as attention from other dogs. He is pretty good on walks, he doesn't pull much, but when he does, he is very strong. He hasn't spent much time around kids
but was fine when approached by a small boy at the park. He may be best with older children just
because he is so tall and strong. He will need a home with no cats.

If you are looking for a goofy, happy, cuddly, HUGE lapdog, Cliff is your guy!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cliff, a Denver Golden Retriever/Afghan Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Afghan Hound for sale in Denver, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Afghan Hound dog from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Afghan Hound breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Afghan Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
