My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MEET HOLDEN!!!

This handsome boy is a 2-year-old black and tan, male German Shepherd that came to us from the Downey Shelter in CA. Holden was found as a stray and has passed all his temp tests at the shelter. Making sure to get all the attention while at the vet in CA, he made sure to lay right in the middle of the floor so that no one could miss him. What a ham.

Holden is an active and happy boy. He LOVES to play and is full of energy. It is obvious that his previous humans spent little time teaching him the manners as he jumps, knows few commands and needs work walking on a leash. When he works off some energy, he is sweet and loving. He gets along great with other dogs though is rather rambunctious and can therefore annoy other dogs. Holden though not dominant is persistent when he wants to play, often ignoring warnings from other dogs. This boy will require a family that has previous German Shepherd experience. He can become protective and needs to know that his handlers are in charge. Any family that adopts Holden will be required to enroll him in training classes.

Holden would do well in an active family that is looking for an energetic dog to be their companion.

Holden is UTD, microchipped, neutered, HW- and current on HW/flea/tick preventives. Adoption fee $400.

If you are interested in adopting Holden or any of the other JLGSR dogs, please get the process started by filling out our online application at www.jettslegacy.com/adoption-application.html.

NOTE: We do not schedule meet and greets without an approved application on file.
