Why I need a new home

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rox came to me at a time when I had decided that I would no longer work away from home and therefore would be able to take her into my home forever. She came to me from a person who had gotten her as a young puppy for her and her two autistic children. Unfortunately, it turned out to be more then she could handle. She is docile and calm to an extreme. Has been even since a young puppy. With the economy picking up and retirement just 15 to 20 years away, I have reached the conclusion that it is best for me to go back to work for a company that has benefits and retirement but will also take me away from home and back on the road. I got her in May of 2015 when she was 3 months old. She was born on Feb. 7th in 2015. She needs much exercise and positive, reinforcing attn. She is very affectionate and has been a house dog that gets outside 4 times per day to a large field with other dogs. This is a huge field alongside woods and a creek so there is much to keep their attention and playfulness alive. She enjoys play with one other dog very near her age and has been with him since coming into my home in June of 2015. Her companion is a purebred German Shepard without papers and if they went to the same home it would be ideal for them but not absolutely necessary. They have had a great deal of time spent with them and listen well and are eager to please. They are young and therefore can be distracted by certain things at times but have gotten better and better as time goes on. They are both beautiful dogs. Unfortunately, I am not computer savvy and therefore do not know how to upload photos. Deucalion, the German Shepard is of course a bit more high energy and this is due to his yet young age. Rox and Deucalion are very near the same size and weight. They and I consider them to be step brother and sister. Deucalion is not neutered but Rox is spayed. I have been laid off for some time and will not be able to have him neutered until I go back to work and of course they need a good, loving, experienced home before I can leave home to return to the traveling construction industry. So there is no confusion-Rox is a Great Dane and Greyhound mix and Deucalion is all German Shepard. His mother was pure white and his father was black and tan. Deucalion is black and tan but the tan is a lighter tan which probably resulted from his mother being white. Some of the fields on this site would not allow me to express the fact that I have two dogs in need of a home. Those that would allow of course I did including in this paragraph. Also the spay/ neuter box only gave me the spayed/ neutered option but again, Deucalion is not neutered.
