Rascal is friendly but does gets spooked easily. After being back inside longer, he should settle down. In the meantime, he will nuzzle your ankles and likes to be petted. He really loves to play with toys and lay in the sun. Gets along with most cats. The foster mom has another timid older cat that he likes to bully but is fine with the rest.
Rascal is FIV positive but negative for Feline Leukemia. That is why we consider him special needs. Feline Immunodeficiency Virus sadly carries and unfair stigma, even within the rescue community. Despite being positive for FIV, Rascal is healthy, happy and can stay this way for years. Rascal is waiting for a family with an open mind to learn more about the virus. If you think that might be you, please check the links on our home page which provide up to date information about FIV to try and educate the public and erase the unsupported fears about the virus.
