Toby's Story...
"Do you like a dog who's fun and spunky, yet mellow when he's supposed to be? That's me! I'm TOBY, a dog who's just the right combination of low-key and enthusiastic. I'm a Corgi/ Beagle mix who's six years old, which is a great age for a small/ medium dog like me. I have an easygoing temperament, so I'd be a great family pet. I get along well with other dogs, too. I love to go on walks, plus I'm smart and highly trainable. Can't you just picture us going on hikes together? I'd also appreciate spending time with you working on my basic skills after our daily walk. You'll be happy to know that I've already been house trained. Won't you please come spend some time with me here at the El Cajon Animal Shelter? They've got a really nice play yard here where we can get to know each other. Everyone tells me that I'm a very handsome boy, so I hope you'll come meet me in person to find out for yourself. Love, Toby"

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Toby, a El Cajon Corgi/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Corgi/Beagle for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Corgi/Beagle dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Corgi/Beagle breeders who help with Corgi/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
