Welcome Missy (Female tan) and Bailey (Male black) Chihuahua Mixes, possibly with Boston Terriers. Both dogs are siblings and are ten years old. While it is not a requirement that these babies be adopted together, it is our hope that they can be, as from what we can tell they are quite bonded.  They are pretty much inseparable and go everywhere together.  They get along fine with the other dogs in their foster home and both dogs are quite healthy.

Missy & Bailey were given away on a yard sale site for free. ***This is very dangerous! As you will see why.... A woman picked them up and took them home. We were told her current dog attacked one when she got home, so she put them back up for free. A wonderful young man got them and got in touch with us. We are thankful he got these babies in the right hands, as giving away any pets for free can be deadly. When bathing them, we found the story to be true. Bailey, the black one, was attacked. We found 3 holes in his neck and right shoulder! We have him started on meds, so he is all better.

We are so glad we can help these poor souls. Who knows what their future would have looked like given they were tossed aside for free. This brother and sister only has good things in their future.

Missy (the tan Female) is very sweet, calm, and lovable.  She loves to snuggle and is often snuggled on the couch right next to Bailey.  She also loves to eat, so you have to watch her if you have other dogs.  She will go from bowl to bowl looking for more food.  She doesn’t seem to be good at walking on a leash, but she may be better in a quieter location without so much noise and barking dogs in the neighborhood.

Bailey (black Male) is a loving little guy- he started begin giving kisses only hours after his arrival. He is a very loving gentle boy that is very bonded to his sister, Missy.  In a prior failed attempt by the yard sale site to find them a home, he was attacked by a large German Shepherd (as we said earlier) and then returned.  Despite this, he has not shown any fear with the large Afghan Hound in his foster home, so we don’t know if he carries any fear from the previous attack. An attempt to walk him on a leash didn’t work too well, so we don’t know if he is a walker.  He did become scared when the large German Shepherd across the street from his foster home began to bark.

Missy and Bailey are fine with cats. We think they would probably be better around older children.  They are not young and playful, so they might not be happy if the children are constantly bugging them.  They are just little snuggle buddies who will snuggle up with you cheek to cheek.  They also have to be watched if there is food around.  They are not food aggressive, but they will kind of push their way into other dog's bowls, and they will climb on me when I am eating if I don't stop them.  They do love to eat, so no doubt they would be stealing from small children.  Older children would be ideal if they were around any.

If you can open your heart to this precious pair, we don’t think you would be sorry.  They are both sweet, gentle, loving babies and an adorable duo.

We define our area as a 4 hour drive time from Cincinnati, OH using zip code 45231 according to Google Maps (not based on how fast you can drive the distance).. This rule is for the safety of our dogs – we need to be sure we can get our dogs back quickly in the event an adoption doesn't work out.
