Saffron's Story...
Saffron
Female
German Shepherd Mix
DOB: 10/20/15
Weight: 60 Pounds

Saffron is one sweet girl that has had a bit of rough time in her short life. She is taking small steps in learning to trust humans again. She does well with women, but is not as comfortable with men and young children may be too much for her. Saffron enjoys going for walks and stays right by your side. She is house-trained with a doggie door and will probably be happy with a well socialized dog that enjoys the company of humans. Saffron will need a well fenced yard to keep her safe. Her prospective adopter may need to have several visits with her at Living Free before taking her home.

Saffron is waiting for that gentle owner who will be sensitive to her needs and will be willing to take the time to earn her trust.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Saffron, a Mountain Center German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Mountain Center, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Mountain Center.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mountain Center already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mountain Center breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mountain Center paves the way for another one to be saved.
