My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sarge
Hi. My name is Sarge. I am a black lab mix puppy. Someone said I am mixed with Mastiff, but honestly, I look 95% like a black lab puppy. My ears wing out to the sides a little, but sometimes they lay flat. I was 20# at nine weeks of age, so I will probably be a big boy when I'm full grown. I love to play outside. I am very curious about playing with the bigger resident dogs in my foster home, but one of them barks real loud and scares me, so I go sit under my foster mom's legs. I really want to play with them though and am getting braver every day 'cause I know they don't want to hurt me. Although I am very respectful if they growl to tell me I am invading their space. Their food is good to. I help myself to their leftovers. Mom thinks I can't reach their tall bowls, but I can. I am learning to potty outside. If you take me out frequently that is where I will go. Sometimes I'm not sure how to ask to go out so I will need continued training to that end. I am crate trained. Right now I am crated with my sissy, which I like, so being alone in a crate I might be a little whiney 'til I get use to it. I love being the center of attention. If my sissy is getting attention I run up and crawl on top of her so I am the one getting the attention. I am very curious about noises and objects. You will need to continue teaching me what is appropriate to chew on and what is not. When you first greet me in the morning I make cute little noises 'cause I missed you so much through the nite and I want to say hello and get hugs and kisses. When I get tired after playing, I may crawl up on the couch, but I'm so big and clumsy I'm not as good at that as my sister. I have a hard time getting comfortable so I make funny noises and move around a lot until I am in the perfect position and fall asleep. I am a very good puppy, yet still a puppy so you will need patience, care, love, exercise and training to make me in to a good adult boy.
