Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Aptly named Princess is a very cute, very precious little dog who weighs less than 8 pounds! She looks like a Papillon/Pomeranian mix, or possibly longhaired Chihuahua. Estimated to be about 2 years old. Princess was introduced to and did well with both cats and dogs at the shelter before coming to Adopt-A-Pet. She is not shy, and can be very friendly towards people, but typical of many small dog breeds she needs to get to know you before she allows you to pick her up. Once she has gained confidence, she loves attention and affection, and likes being carried around. Because of her tiny size and timidity of fast movements and loud noises, she will do best in a home without children.
You can meet Princess at her current foster home--Wilmette Pet Center, 625 Green Bay Road in Wilmette--during normal store hours (847-251-6750, wilmettepetcenter.com). Although she is so sweet you will want to take her home on the spot, please note you will have to submit an application (available by emailing info@adoptapet-il.org or calling 847-550-9690 or downloading from our website www.adoptapet-il.org.)
Princess' adoption fee of $325 includes: vet exam, heartworm test, rabies vaccination, bordetella vaccination, DAPP (distemper combo) vaccination, routine deworming, flea preventative, heartworm preventative, microchip and spay.
