Sasha's Story...
Sasha (6 year old Brussels Griffon mix) and some of her pals were rescued from a puppy mill. Their owner was going to take them to the vet to be euthanized, because they were no longer of use to him. This group of healthy dogs have never lived in a home setting but all are extremely loving and affectionate. They're NOT your typical frightened and nippy puppy mill dogs. All will need lots of patience, training and tender loving care but they really appreciate any kind gesture they receive and give it back 10 fold. Please consider giving one of these sweet pups the loving home they've never had and certainly deserve.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sasha, a Elyria Brussels Griffon dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Brussels Griffon for sale in Elyria, or seeking a Brussels Griffon dog from a breeder in Elyria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elyria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elyria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Brussels Griffon breeders who help with Brussels Griffon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elyria paves the way for another one to be saved.
