Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This little guy is Tron. He came from a local shelter where he hopped on a transport from California to UT. He is a Chihuahua and is about 14 years old. He was not adjusting well at the shelter, he was shutting down, stressed and not eating well. Luckily a UAAF volunteer was able to step up and get him into a foster home about a year and a half ago, so this sweet senior didn't have to suffer any longer in a shelter.
Tron is a special needs little guy, he is deaf and his vision is not the best. The Animal Advocacy took him to an eye specialist and he can see pretty good, but his eyes are sensitive to the sunlight and will squint or close his eyes when out in the sun.
Tron is a quiet little guy and is a well behaved boy. The only time he will bark is for his food. A good way to his heart is with food! He eats in a crate as he will bite you if you try to touch his food bowl after you have given it to him.
Tron loves to snuggle and curl up in his dog bed. He is not a fan of being touched when he is sleeping & will attempt to nip you if you pet him while he's getting his beauty sleep. It doesn’t hurt if he bites, though, because he only has one tooth!
Other than when he is sleeping or eating, Tron loves to be scratched and petted. He is a true lover at heart!
Tron is good with well behaved, tolerant dogs. Occasionally he can get grumpy with the other dogs in his foster home, and will give them "the look" and lets out sounds like he is "hissing" at them. They know he really doesn't mean any harm and they usually just ignore him. Tron is also good with dog savvy cats. If the cats don't run then he doesn't chase them. If they choose to run, he will try to chase.
House training is coming along nicely with Tron. He will mark if he is in a new environment, but will then settle in to a good routine.
He is a sweet sensitive little senior that needs a nice home to spend his golden years.
Tron has been neutered, current on vaccinations, tested negative for heartworm and also micro chipped. He has also had bloodwork and major dental work done.
