Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This very handsome Husky mix is Fig. He is a little over a year old. Fig came to the Animal Advocacy Foundation after being on the run for months and was finally trapped. A good Samaritan saw him around her feral cat colony so she started putting food out for him, as the months went by it started to get colder and she was worried about the dog. A UAAF volunteer was able to trap him in about 7 days and finally no more cold nights and wonder where his next meal was coming from. Fig was micro chipped, however, his owner surrendered him 5 months earlier to a local shelter. UAAF also found out that he had escaped the shelter he was surrendered to and has been missing for about 5 months. Luckily for Fig he was able to get in to a foster home and out of a shelter situation.
Fig is good with other dogs and enjoys a good playtime with other canine companions. He is an active boy and would love a home that will do daily walks and some good hikes. Fig would prefer a home with out cats. He is doing great on his housetraining.
When originally rescued he was extremely shy and timid. Fig has improved so much in such a short time but still would prefer a home with out small children. He would require some training to help build the confidence that is needed and to be the best dog that he deserves to be. . Fig can not be left unattended in a back yard, he will jump a fence very quickly. He needs to be leashed at all times.
Fig has been neutered, current on vaccinations, tested negative for heartworm and also micro chipped.
