Meet Bellamy! This handsome young male German Shepherd is a bit of a rascal and still has a puppy-like attitude. Bellamy is a happy-go-lucky, glass is half-full kind of guy that we rescued from a local shelter after he was brought in as a stray. He will need a cat-free home that can provide structure and help guide him into adulthood. Due to his exuberance, he would do best in a home with older children or teenagers. Bellamy will need proper introductions when meeting other dogs similar to his size, but cannot live in a home with small dogs due to his prey drive. He had surgery as a puppy to correct a heart defect. As a precaution, he will need follow-up visits to a vet every 18 months for an echocardiogram. Bellamy is about 18 months old, up to date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped and HW-. He is currently on a monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventative.
