Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Kane
Great Dane/Rhodesian Ridgeback Mix
65 lbs.
DOB 4/9/16
Kane is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL, young, muscular boy with soulful, kind eyes. He's a quiet and gentle guy that gets along with everyone. Some have even said he looks like Scooby Doo!
Kaner takes treats gently and is a people pleaser. He's very aware of people and he always seems like he's waiting for instructions. We think he will be highly trainable due to his interest in people and gentle disposition. He already knows some basic commands and his foster is working with him to learn more.
Kaner is housebroken, crate trained, and walks well on a leash. He's great with adults and older children. He would love small children, but may accidentally knock them over since he is so large and powerful. Kane is an extremely playful boy who has a lot of puppy play left in him! He would do well with an active family, someone that will run with him, take him for long walks, or to the dog park!
Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping.
We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email safehavendogsIL@yahoo.com for an application or additional details.
Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed.
Please consider becoming a foster home while you search for your new best friend. We need foster homes - pounds are overflowing with puppies and adult dogs that are at-risk and need help. We can only rescue as many as we have foster home commitments. Fostering is a rewarding experience for your family.
