My name is Charlotte and I'm just the sweetest, most gentle dog in the entire world. I wasn't well take care of by my former owners, who left me at the county shelter, underweight and full of fleas. However, those days are behind me and since then, this big smile hasn't left my face. My foster parents are taking very good care of me, giving me lots of good food to fatten me up, and giving me lots of love. All I need now is a forever home. I am very well-behaved. House-trained, crate-trained, know how to "sit", "shake", and down. I also walk well on a leash, with very little pulling. I'm living in a smallish apartment and that's no problem. I don't need a lot of space, despite being a tall dog. I get along well with other dogs and don't mind cats. I don't have much interaction with children, but when I do, I wag my tail and let them pet me. I'm a nice, mature dog, way past the destructive puppy stages. I'm all ready to settle in and be your chairside, binge-watching, couch-potato, reading partner. Would you like to meet me? Please contact my sponsor at Thanks.

About WAGS fund

Our Adoption Process...

We work hard to find the perfect home for all the dogs and cats in our care. Listed below is the sequence of events that we go through to assure that our pets and our applicants are the perfect match for each other:

1. Fill out and return our adoption application form.

2. After receiving your application, we will verify with your vet the care on your current or
previous animals.

3. We will contact you to discuss your current situation and which pet you are interested in

4. After discussion, we will arrange a time for you to meet your prospective new family
member. We may suggest you bring your other pets to this meeting.

5. If the initial meeting goes well and both parties agree to move forward with the
adoption, we will make an appt and bring the pet to your home to meet all family
members - human and furry

6. If, at the home visit, both parties agree that the home is good match for the adoptable
pet, we will move forward with the adoption. (Please note, some dogs may require several “visits” to the home in order to feel comfortable and transition smoothly into their new environment.)

7. We ask the new family to have a crate, food, toys, treats, etc. ready before the home visit.

8. At the home visit we will review the Home Visit Checklist and Adoption Checklist, review and sign the adoption contract, collect the adoption fee ($200 for dogs, $75 for kittens, and $50 for cats) and take the Happy Tail photo.

9. That same volunteer will check in either by phone or email to make sure things are going well and to answer any questions you might have. Please respond in a timely manner (1-2 days)

10. 7-14 days after the adoption, we will collect the medical records for your adopted pet and send them to you. We will also update the pet’s microchip record with your information.
