My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This beautiful little one year old boy is Teddy. Several weeks ago he ended up at a shelter, unrecognizable as a maltipoo, his shelter pic is on his photo. He was nippy and very scared of anyone touching him. We found out that his previous owner, a man, had used him as a football. Kicking him around the house for fun. When we got him we gave him a few weeks of very quiet decompression time, and a new name, before we had him groomed and neutered. He has adjusted very well to his foster mom and dad and his bubbly, sweet personality is beginning to shine through. He is still learning how to be loved and held. A work in progress for us. His sweet eyes will melt your heart. He likes other dogs but he isn't quite sure yet how to play. We are not sure about cats or kids. We will be assessing Teddy more as we look for a forever home. Although he trusts his fosters, he is still unsure of strangers. We are looking for a patient, quiet home that will let Teddy progress at his own pace. He is only a year old but has known nothing but abuse so it may take some time. He is neutered, vaccinated, wormed and microchipped. His adoption fee is $300. Please email for an application.
