Amos's Story...
NOT ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS UNTIL 4/1/17 FOR AMOS:

Amos, now known as Famous Amos, is getting all the care he needs at our vet clinic.
Amos came to us near death, emaciated all covered in horrible open bed soars on his buttocks and lacerations on his legs/feet. He is only approx. 2 years old. Since being with us he has gained considerable weight, had surgery to repair his open wounds and been given full vet care. This boy is now a celebrity receiving donations and care packages from all over the United States including Hawaii. See the FIDO's Companion Facebook page to follow his story. Amos is a happy playful boy. He is unsure of other dogs at this point but is happy to trust humans again. He has a 2nd surgery on 2/12 to remove a portion of his damaged tail and then will move the beginning of March to a dog trainer to learn basic obedience and socialization skills with other dogs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Amos, a Avon American Bulldog/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog/Boxer for sale in Avon, or seeking a American Bulldog/Boxer dog from a breeder in Avon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Avon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Avon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog/Boxer breeders who help with American Bulldog/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Avon paves the way for another one to be saved.
