My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello humans!! My name is Maddie, and I am approximately four years old. Until I was rescued by South County Tail Waggers, I unfortunately did not have a very good life. I was used as a breeding dog and the doctor that evaluated me knew this because she could see the breeding harness scars that were left on me. When my previous owners had no more use for me, I was abandoned on a freeway in San Jose CA. When I was finally spayed, my doctor told my rescuers it was one of the worst cases she had ever seen. However, I am OK! I am happy and healthy and I finally know what it is to be loved!! I have the best foster Mom in the world, and I love my foster brother's and sister's. They are all much smaller than me so I make sure I play really easy with them. I LOVE to snuggle on the couch under the blankets, and I also love taking long naps. I sure do like going on long walks too! While my new foster family has shown me how wonderful life can really be, I would really like to find my forever family!! I am a very sweet girl but sometimes get sad when people look at me and have a scared look on their face. It isn't my fault my previous humans cut off my ears with scissors and made them look like this. It hurt me terribly and I wish they hadn't done it. And even though I look like a big dog, I am nothing more than a big ball of mush with a huge heart. I just want a family to love forever. I hope you like my pictures!! My rescuers got me all gussied up for a professional photo shoot and I loved every minute of it! Please share my story and pictures with your friends and family. In the mean time, I will continue being a good girl for my foster Mom while I wait for my forever family to come and meet me!
