I was abandoned at a vacant apartment for several weeks and was looked after by a neighbor for awhile to make sure I had the basic food and water. My cage had not been cleaned in a very long time and my cage had been neglected. I was underweight and I was trapped in the cage with my own feces (no litter box) until the landlord finally called New Hanover County Animal Control and I was picked up and brought back to the shelter. I was finally taken out of my prison and put in a clean cage with a clean litter box, fresh water and given daily hay; for the first time in a very long time. I had some poor digestive issues due to a poor diet and had to be held back for awhile to put on weight before I was healthy enough to be spayed.
