Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is Artie (HWTH#17058A). He is a Pit mix, DOB: 2/20/15. Artie weighs approximately 35 pounds. He was discovered in a trash-filled back yard by a utility worker. Based on his weight loss and dehydration, the Veterinarian estimated that he had been in the back yard more than two weeks. Since he came to Halfway to Home he has gained weight and looks much better, although he still is underweight. He now is in a foster home with 15 other dogs and does well with all of them. Artie craves affection, probably because he didn't get much in his prior life. He longs for, and deserves, a loving Forever home where he can give and get lots of affection. In spite of his unfortunate start in life he has remained happy and friendly. He is somewhat timid and will need a kind and supportive family to bring out the rest of his personality. Artie has learned to use the dog door and is house trained. When Artie is thoroughly settled in his new home, he will benefit from positive basic obedience training to help with leash training and the bonding process. For more information on Artie, please contact Sandy at tele # 661-824-4495.
