Saatchi's Story...
**Do not email from this site. Please read to end for info or link to adoption application**

Saatchi is approx 12 month old sweet, spunky fella who had been dumped off a freeway in Houston's South Side, but holds no grudges and is full of life and love!

Our best determination of breed based on tons of research is Rat Terrier x Long Haired Chihuahua mix. He is approx 20-25 lbs and is full grown. He lives in a foster home with several cats with whom he lounges and plays, and he loves toys and other dogs.

Saatchi is leash trained, crate trained, house trained, and super playful. He is also up to date on all routine vaccinations and preventatives, is neutered and microchipped.

He needs a forever home to show him that love is forever and reciprocated!

If you are interested in adopting Saatchi, please fill out our online application, as one can not visit with Saatchi until application is approved. Go to:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Saatchi, a Houston Rat Terrier/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier/Chihuahua for sale in Houston, or seeking a Rat Terrier/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier/Chihuahua breeders who help with Rat Terrier/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
