Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Every dog deserves a happily ever after, even when they're seniors.
Big Mac was surrendered to the pound, along with his lifelong friend. That friend was adopted, leaving Big Mac completely alone at the shelter. Circle of Hope didn't leave him there - he deserved better than that.
Big Mac is a rat terrier. He's at least 12 years old - we know that much from the paperwork his former owners left at the pound. Honestly, he's deaf, and almost blind. He sleeps most of the day away, snuggled up in any blanket available. He's had his teeth cleaned, and enjoys being spoiled with canned senior food.
Big Mac's name is perfect for him. That little 9 pound body wants his own way. He bosses every other dog around - he is IN CHARGE. He'd be best as an only dog, or with another small, low key friend. He ignores cats, since they're beneath him, obviously.
Big Mac's perfect home would be with an older home body - someone who enjoys staying home and relaxing, with occasional short trips outside. He doesn't do well with children because his limited sight and hearing means he startles easily. He's fine napping in another room while children visit.
Will you be part of making Big Mac's twilight years the best part of his life? Will YOU give him the life every senior deserves, with a warm bed, soft food, and LOVE?
