My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jake needs a break. He's a super smart and active one year old Border Collie/Cattle Dog mix. He has been adopted and returned twice through no fault of his own. Jake is a friendly outgoing boy. He has lived with other dogs and did well with them. He was pretty unsure about the cats so they are not recommended in the home. This boy really needs a fenced in yard or electric fence. He lived with a 2 and 4 year old and did well with them. Jake was returned because he kept trying to "herd" the children by nipping at their feet. He was great with his house-training and obeyed the electric fence boundaries very well. The second time he was returned hIs adopters thought their home was too crowded and Jake needed more space for himself. He would love a space to run and play. They said he is exceptionally smart and easy to train. If you're looking for a well behaved dog that's very active, you really need to check out Jake.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.
