Cole (Neutered)'s Story...
"Cole" is a cute 6-month old male Labrador Retriever/Boxer mix who came to the HSOV on February 17, 2017 after a Good Samaritan found him on Colegate Drive in Marietta Ohio and brought him to the safety of our shelter.

"Cole" has a shiny black short smooth coat with a large patch of white on his chest, white paws, a long tail, and an adorable face with large semi-erect ears. He is a friendly fellow who was putting up a brave front to cover up the fact that he was a frightened little boy when we took preliminary photos in his kennel on the day he arrived :( He was a different little dog the following day when one of our fantastic volunteers took him outdoors for more flattering photos :)

"Cole" weighs 32.2 lbs. and has already been neutered.

We hope that his family will see his pictures on our Petfinder/Facebok pages and come to take him home asap. If that happy reunion does not take place, "Cole" will be available for adoption on February 20, 2017.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cole (Neutered), a Marietta Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
