Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Heidi is a petite, energetic, 8 year old smooth chiweenie. She's so happy that she has retired from the breeding industry! She hasn't had an easy life and her little body shows it, but Heidi is on her way to a new, happy, healthy life.
Heidi can be shy at first, but is quickly learning to trust people. She likes to get cuddles, give kisses (but watch out, she's a little French in the kissing department!) and play with squeaky toys.
While Heidi does get along with other small dogs, she would prefer to be an only dog so she doesn't have to share attention or toys. (She really loves squeaky toys!) But Heidi would also be good with another small submissive dog that would let her be the boss. (She may be small, but she's feisty!) Heidi is figuring out potty training and is doing well with kennel training. She will need a home with a securely fenced yard and no children under the age of 10.
Suggested adoption donation for Heidi is $200 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs. Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts only to people living in states neighboringNebraska and requires the adopter to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not transport or fly our rescue dogs. A securely fenced yard is necessary to adopt one of our terriers. Please note, invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment for terriers.Adoption applications can be found at www.wagntrainterrierrescue.com/adoption-information
