Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DOB February 19, 2012.
Hi, my name is Dragon! I am a very beautiful girl who has a lot of personality. My foster mom says that I have a TON of facial expressions, so she always knows how I'm feeling. I'm a shy girl and am still learning to trust humans. I grew up in a room with my sister, and although we had a nice human who would feed us and clean our litter, we didn't get any socialization and didn't learn to trust humans. I stayed in that room with my sister for 5 years until someone from the Toronto Cat Rescue came to get us, and I experienced a lot of firsts: my first time in a carrier, and my first time at the vet. Now I'm hoping for another first - my first family!
My foster mom says that I have come a long way in a short amount of time. Because I haven't spend much time around people, sudden movements and loud noises can scare me. I prefer to be in a quiet, safe spot where I can be visited rather than sitting out in the open. I'm a bit too nervous to play with my toys when there are humans in the room, but as soon as they leave I will jump around playing with my toys!
I do like being petted, but am still getting used to being touched. Right now I like to be petted with a toy stick with a pom-pom at the end of it, but when I've been petted long enough I start to get sleepy and I will let my human pet me with her hand.
I would do best in a home with another young, social cat to keep me company and teach me how to love and trust. I need an adopted who has experience with socializing cats, and understands that I may never be a lap cat, but I have a lot of love to give to the right family. My foster mom calls me a diamond in the rough, and with time, patience, and lots of love, I would love to shine.
