My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi I am SEBASTIAN! I was recently transferred from an overcrowded pound after spending NEARLY a year (along with some of my friends) in a small cage. I am currently about 3 years old. NOW I am ready for my new life to begin! I am totally the clown, to get your attention. If you get to spend time with me outside my cage, I will put my paws on your shoulder & kiss your face! The shelter I came from said that I was very scared when I first arrived there, I was an "owner surrender", but I have been super friendly since I arrived here. I like any kind of attention, and love belly rubs and head rubs... all those things any kitty would like. I definitely am a "people cat", love petting & attention, even if I have to be silly to get it! Wont you please come visit me today... it's lonely in this big cage all by myself, there's room for cage-mates, but right now I get a little "upset" around other cats... but every day that goes by, I am becoming more comfortable with the others. Wont you come see me and .... take me home to be loved by you?

The animals that are posted are available, unless it is stated 'adopted'. If one is 'pending' you still may submit an application in case the adoption does not go through. The Wyandotte Animal Adoption Center has created a committee who reviews all applications before releasing any animal to a new home.

If you visit our homepage www.wacshelter.com where there are links to the questionnaire/application that helps us to place the animals into homes that match both the adopter’s and animal’s needs. Wyandotte Animal Adoption Center reserves the right to decline the adoption of any animal for any reason if it feels the home will not be a good match.

IMPORTANT PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
We will make every attempt to contact approved applicants within 5 business days of application submission (M-F), but this will depend on the number of applications received.
Please understand that by answering the questions does not guarantee the adoption of the pet, nor are you obligated to adopt the pet.
We adopt to homes that are best fits for our animals' needs, and not on a first-come, first-served basis.

*ADOPTION FEE: Cats are $65 (cash only-sorry we can not make change) that includes spay/neuter, distemper vaccine combo test. Rabies vaccine if old enough. If you are adopting a kitten or cat please bring a carrier.

Hours for Adoptions:

Monday, Tuesday & Friday from 5:30 to 7:30pm.
Saturday: 10am to 2pm.

Please check our Facebook page for any special events or bonus adoption hour days.
