Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Ms Ruthie, who we believe is the perfect dog! Ruthie is believed to be 5-7 years old and before arriving at the sanctuary spent her whole life at the end of a chain with no human interaction, no love, no snuggles, no acknowledgement that she even existed. Despite her rough beginning she is well mannered and as sweet as they come! She absolutely loves people and does great with children. She loves to go on daily walks and simply be in the thick of things with her family. She is still learning to play with other dogs.
Ruthie does well with dogs, cats and children of all ages. Ruthie is crate trained and house broken. Ruthie's perfect forever needs to have another dog (or two) and a home where she will not be left unattended as she craves companionship with her humans.
With Ms. Ruthie's tough beginning, she does have some health concerns. Ms Ruthie has some mammary and uterus tumors, which are being biopsied. Ruthie is also heart worm positive, which will be treated. Ruthie is already on the mend as her liver disease as healed, making strides in her healing process. She is such a strong, brave sweetheart!
All Ms. Ruthie wants is that perfect forever that will give her the life she deserves. Could you be the perfect forever Ms Ruthie is longing for?
