Bucky's Story...
Bucky is a sweet short-haired guinea pig with a beautiful black coat, with spots of white and brown throughout. He is a young boy, only 9 months old. He is very sweet boy and enjoys spending time with his humans. He is ready to meet his new owner and go home!

RCHS guinea pigs live in loving foster homes where they are socialized, given sufficient exercise outside of their cage, and fed a diet of grass hay, Timothy pellets, and fresh vegetables daily to maintain a healthy weight. Guinea pigs do require a vet trained in exotic animal medicine and have special housing and dietary needs. We encourage you to please research guinea pigs thoroughly before adopting.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bucky, a Manhattan Guinea Pig was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Guinea Pig for sale in Manhattan, or seeking a Guinea Pig from a breeder in Manhattan.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Manhattan already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Manhattan breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Guinea Pig breeders who help with Guinea Pig rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Manhattan paves the way for another one to be saved.
