Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is Grant. As you can see, he is a lovely, purebred adult male Rottweiler. Grant is a tall boy and quite a gentle natured, mellow boy. If you are looking for a walking partner, Grant is your man. This boy LOVES to go for walks and he is a pleasure to walk on a leash. We have to share with you that when we are out walking him, we have had many people comment on what a lovely dog this big boy is. Very well behaved and very handsome!
Our vet thinks that this tall Rottie is about 6 yrs old, so, we gave him a date of birth of 7/4/2010 - best guess. We rescued Grant from a shelter in a very under-weight condition. At the time of his rescue he weighed about 89lbs. He is doing great in foster care and eating well and putting some healthy weight back on. Our vet says his blood tests were all normal and he is heartworm negative. While Grant was at the shelter, they temp tested him and found him to be good with dogs - both
large and small dogs, and he even tolerates cats! Good with everything is what they wrote on his eval form. Good boy!
This mellow guy just loves any petting and attention you can give him. In our foster home, Grant is crate trained and he sleeps inside in an oversized crate and he does very well in his crate. In fact, he really prefers to be inside with his people. Grant also rides very well in the car.
Grant is neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccinations. We think he will make an excellent companion for some lucky person or family. He is ready to be someone's best walking partner and best buddy. If you are interested in adopting Grant, please visit our website, www.friendsofcanines.org, and check out our Adoption Process and fill out an adoption application. Grant's adoption fee is $175.
Thanks for considering this handsome, big guy!
