Are you looking for a young, playful, well-rounded family dog? Jake is your boy! Jake is a gorgeous black lab and pit bull mix. He is just over a year and 55 pounds. He is expected to fill out some and possibly grow taller, but should stay under 65 pounds. Jake is a community dog that ended up at the South LA Shelter. He is currently living at the Downtown Dog Rescue kennel in South Gate. He is out socializing every day and does very well with all dogs. He is a smart dog who attends basic obedience classes on the weekends. Jake has also joined dog pack hikes and does excellently. He is improving his leash skills daily and loves to walk by his leader’s side. Jake would do well in most home settings, but we are unsure if he will do well with cats. Jake is already neutered, micro-chipped and up-to-date on all vaccines. Come and meet him!
