My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chi-Chi, is an adult chihuahua who was pulled from a high kill shelter.  Chi-Chi was a public drop off and seems to have had a rough life to date.  Chi-Chi isn't yet spayed, but when she is, she will also have a mammary tumor removed.  We aren't worried, as most mammary tumors can be removed without future issues.  Mammary tumors, unfortunately, are often found in dogs that are not spayed and spaying is simple prevention.  Aside from her small mammary tumor, Chi-Chi also has a kinked tail - likely broken at some point.  It doesn't cause her any pain and it still works, so we're just going to leave it alone.  Chi-Chi loves to talk and order her people around.  She will let you know when she wants something - food, play, to go out, etc.  She loves playtime with her chi foster brother, and also gets along well with the foster family's resident German Shepherds.  Chi-Chi is microchipped and UTD on shots, but will still need her spay and tumor removal, as well as testing to determine if she has any diseases such as Lyme's (4dx test).  Once Chi-Chi finishes up her vet care, she will ready to go to her forever home.
