Hello there!!!
Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Wes :) I'm what they call a Detroit Special <3 I was found hungry & starving by some wonderful people and they helped me to become quite a healthy guy!!! I'm an older dog with a puppy personality and fun loving energy. I even know how to walk on a treadmill like a big boy!!! I like to play ball, swim and cuddle with you on the couch <3

There is one thing that I have to tell you though, I wasn't properly socialized when I was younger so I just don't know how to play other dogs and cats the right way, so I would prefer to be the only pet. (But I do enjoy to go on walks with other dogs!) Plus, I REALLY want my family all to myself, if you know what I mean :) More kisses, hugs and lap laying for me! I don't have experience with kids yet... but if they are older & understand dogs and how to treat me...then with your support and patience, I sure would like the chance to try!

I sure would LOVE to meet you!!! Oh Pretty please won't you contact my friends at Dog Aide to set up a meet and greet!! oh and PS: Bring treats, lots of them, they make me very happy :)

XOXO, Wesley

About Dog Aide Community Awareness

About Our Rescue Group...

Our mission...
... is to educate dog owners, identify needs of communities, supply owners with food and daily care items, provide access and financial help for routine veterinary care, and network with rescues and community organizations to help people get the food and financial assistance they need.

We are the “dog’s aides” people who contribute to the fulfillment of a need or furtherance of an effort or purpose. “To aid” is a verb, “aide” is a noun. Being a part of Dog Aide is not what we do, it is who we are.

Our Education Core Principles:
Physical and Behavioral Health
Proper Containment
Permanent Identification
K-12 Education Seminars
Networking Saves Lives

We recognize that all rescues and shelters have their strengths and areas of opportunity. We choose to operate with transparency, accountability, and integrity. We define ourselves by our met goals and achievements. We believe the outcome of our actions and the scope of our outreach determine our success as a network and partnership.

Come Meet Our Pets...

All of our dogs are in foster homes so then can be met by appointment only. We do adoption events throughout the year so please check our facebook page and website for upcoming events.

Our Adoption Process...

We have multiple fees depending on age of dog. We will always require vet information, conduct a home visit and proper meet and greet for any other animals in the home. We require other animals in the home to be up to date on vaccinations and spayed or neutered.
