Squirt's Story...
Squirt and his brother, Chip were surrendered to our rescue by the owners because they could not afford to vaccinate the pups. We assured them we will find great homes and will spay the mamma dog to prevent future litters.

Squirt is 8 wks old and is in foster care in TN. He weighs 3 lbs. and shouldn't be over ten.Due to transport requirements the pups cannot travel until 3/10/17. They will have 2 puppy shots and a bordatella vaccine. They have been wormed several times. The adopter will be responsible for a third puppy shot in the series, a rabies shot at 12 weeks and neuter, required for adoption. Our vet recommends surgery be done at 6 mo. of age.

Transport is $140 via Alpha Dog Transport. They have stops in PA NJ CT ME/VT. An adoption fee will also apply. Please complete our application on our website deaddogswalkingtn@me.com A rescue rep will contact you immediately. PLEASE NOTE: NO RENTERS, and NO CHILDREN UNDER 10 years of age due to the size of the pup.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Squirt, a Providence Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Providence, or seeking a Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Providence.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Providence already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Providence breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Providence paves the way for another one to be saved.
