Roux is a 4-year-old cattle dog mix. What is she mixed with? We don't really know. She was found with her litter mates as pups without either parent present. Roux weighs about 50 pounds and has longer legs than your typical cattle dog. Whatever the mix is, it has created a stunning beauty.
Roux loves all humans, but hasn't really ever been around children. Older children would be fine. Younger children *might* be fine too, but we aren't much for taking risks, so we will say the kids should be 7-ish years old or older. As we mentioned above, Roux does not want to live with other dogs. She can walk past them on leash without issue; she just doesn't want to share her space with other canines. We do not know how she is with cats.
Roux is pretty medium energy. She does like to go for walks, but isn't much up for long car rides. Her favorite thing to do is to go running through the fenced in yard. Some days that's all of the exercise she needs. When she is in the house she is calm and loves to cuddle in your lap.
Roux is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. She is also solidly housebroken. She has not been crated since she was a puppy and is trustworthy when unsupervised.
If you would like to meet the beautiful Roux please complete an adoption application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. Her adoption fee is $150.
