My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This wonderful boy is Tracker. He was sold as a puppy and returned to the breeder because he was 'too hard to handle".
Unfortunately, the breeder isn't one we consider ethical or one that has the best interest of the dogs at heart and he was put in a 10x10 kennel on a lead in the mud with no dog house, in West VA, where he's lived for the last 3 years in the elements with no protection. We support good breeders, we do not support this.
When Tracker came to us in January he had a cherry eye and a ear infection but was in pretty good shape otherwise physically. His eye has been repaired but if it comes back he will need to have another surgery to remove it and his ears have been taken care of.
Tracker is timid at first due to his having been isolated for so long but once he's comfortable he absolutely loves being part of the family. He does all [shy]in the public but will walk up for a sniff and for a pet. Tracker adores children and we would really like to find him a home where he can be part of that special relationship. He needs more time to figure out men aren't a menace but once he does he's fine.
Tracker is submissive to other dogs and playful. He's figuring out toys are part of his life. He's good with other dogs and food and he has been cat tested and totally ignores them.
All in all he's a lovely hound looking for that family who will let him be the loyal boy he wants to be.
The last photo is of him before he came to us.
Above ground fenced yard required. Fee $250.
