Here's what the humans have to say about me:
At 8 months old, Chloe loves to play, and she has a lot of energy for the games. She enjoys meeting new dogs, both large and small. In fact, her favorite toy is another dog. Chloe also loves squeaky toys, running in the yard, and hiking with her person. And she wouldn't pass up the opportunity to snuggle with her dog pals. Chloe knows some basic commands, is crate trained and walks well on a leash, although some additional leash training would be valuable. She is also pretty well house trained with only an occasional accident. However Chloe is still a puppy so she needs to improve her house manners. She is very interested in anything on counters or tables, and isn't hesitant to jump up to investigate. She still loves to chew on all manner of items and she is very smart in her efforts to hide her misdeeds.
Chloe is very shy with new people, both adults and children, backing away especially from men. However when she is comfortable with a person, she will stay close, seeking all types of attention. She is also afraid of loud noises, including thunderstorms. Chloe is a very intelligent dog, who is easy with other animals and very affectionate. She needs the basic training appropriate for all puppies, but has excellent eye contact and responds will to food and praise as rewards. So her training should be fun for Chloe and her family.
Chloe needs a loving family with experience working with active dogs and the patience to help her learn to feel comfortable with all people. A fenced yard and a canine pal to play with are important to give Chloe a happy life.
