Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Name: Knoll
Age: 5 years old
Disability: Knoll suffered a trauma to his right side, causing him to have a funny little gait in his step, he definitely handles his injury very well.
Breed/Weight: A cute Beagle, 17 pounds
History: Knoll was found as an injured stray and taken to a Virginia shelter. Thankfully one of our rescue friends stepped up for him and got him to the safety of PWD.
When Knoll arrived at PWD, we discovered he was very shy and a bit fearful of humans. We wanted him to find a great foster home that could nurture him and help him discover the comforts of home and learn that humans are pretty cool! He found some GREAT humans.
Here is what his foster mom has to say about this boy...
"Knoll, a true country gentleman. He is a sweet guy who is with us in foster care and is now receiving some way overdue medical attention and human kindness. He is shy, gentle, and just as charming as a warm winter day, like today. Since coming to live with us in foster care he has made so much progress. He is good with other dogs, cats & people. He is shy yet friendly, a little timid yet bold and he is curious and cute. Keep your eye on this prize if you're interested in giving him a forever home. He's a good eater, housebroken, however, we make sure he is in his crate when we are not home as he is still in discovery mode. He likes gentle voices, soft pets, back scratches, treats and toys. He loves to be outdoors but prefers to be with his family - indoors or out. If I had to describe him with one word, it would be "easy". He isn't high maintenance and just wants a warm and loving home. This little guy is going to make someone very happy."
We will keep you posted and updated on his medical progress. He has still has to undergo heartworm treatment in March and April. In the meanwhile, we ARE taking applications on Knoll. A big thank you to Kathy and Jim for helping Knoll with his new journey in life, and it won't be hunting.
