Melanie's Story...
Hi there! I'm Melanie! I'm a 3 year old black beauty who is just as sweet as pie. I love to lean on my favorite people--and I lean HARD! I just want to be close. My favorite toy is a red ladybug--she sets off my shiny sleek black coat to perfection! I take very good care of her and love to lay on her to make sure she's warm and snuggly.

I was living with a family, but when they didn't want me any more, they returned me to my breeder. She gave me to a puppy mill, but I didn't breed quickly enough so I went back to her. Now I'm in a nice foster home, living the good life while I wait for my forever family to find me.

I'm housetrained, spayed and up to date on vaccines. I would prefer a home without small children or small dogs/cats. I am good with large male dogs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Melanie, a Phoenixville Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Phoenixville, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in Phoenixville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenixville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenixville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenixville paves the way for another one to be saved.
