My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Inky is a one-year-old black female cat. Inky was found wandering an inner-city street, and she was very ill. An upper respiratory infection led to a high fever, and she required fluids when she first arrived. Being given fluids is not a pleasant experience for most cats, but Inky was calm and gentle despite the discomfort and strangeness of the circumstances. Antibiotics, good food and plenty of it, warmth and safety have revealed a very sweet and gentle cat. Inky is very social, and likes other cats. She loves to be cuddled, and is very attentive, playful and outgoing. If you’re looking for a petite and gentle companion, come meet Inky!

At PAAWS RI, all of the cats that come into our care are spayed/neutered, receive a rabies vaccination, distemper vaccinations, de-worming, flea treatment, microchipping, and testing for Feline Leukemia/FIV.

Our shelter is located in the Care for Animals veterinary hospital, at 2944 Post Road, Warwick, RI 02886. You are welcome to visit during the following hours: Monday and Tuesday 8 am to 5 pm, Wednesday 9 am to 7 pm, Thursday 8 am to 5 pm, and Friday 9 am to 3 pm. We have an Adoption Open House every Saturday from 10 am to 12 noon – hope to see you there! We're also happy to set up appointments.
