Michael's Info...

Michael's Story...
Michael is a male Maltese/Pomeranian mix, 2 years of age. He has a lovely white, straight coat of white hair with a texture similar to a Pomeranian. He is a little guy weighing 5 ½ lbs. Michael arrived from Korea on Feb. 16th after being rescued from an illegal puppy mill that was raided before the dogs could be sent to the meat market. Amazingly, he is friendly and personable. Michael truly enjoys being near a person and receiving affection. He would do fine in a home with another small dog as he enjoys the company of other small dogs. Michael does need help with house training and basic commands so access to a secure yard would make trainer easier. Most of all, Michael needs a person with time and patience to help him learn how to enjoy life as a companion pet. Michael is truly a sweetheart, easy to love and ready for his new forever home today!

You can Meet Michael, this SAT., MARCH 4th at PETSMART La Jolla Village Square, 8657 Villa La Jolla Dr. La Jolla, CA 92037, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Michael, a San Diego Maltese/Pomeranian dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese/Pomeranian for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Maltese/Pomeranian dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese/Pomeranian breeders who help with Maltese/Pomeranian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
